UDIRC INKFISH UDI-023-PRO 14" Brushless Jet Boat RTR

The UDIRC INKFISH UDI-023-PRO is a unique high-performance RC personal watercraft featuring brushless power, jet-pump propulsion and a self-righting shallow-V hull.

Unlike a conventional RC boat with an exposed propeller and rudder, the INKFISH uses an enclosed water-jet propulsion system. Water is drawn through the bottom of the hull and expelled through the rear steering nozzle, providing propulsion and steering while keeping the propeller safely enclosed.

Power comes from a 2812 3500KV water-cooled brushless motor, providing the PRO version with approximately 20km/h top speed.

With its realistic personal-watercraft styling, controllable navigation lights, built-in gyro, self-righting system and included 7.4V 2000mAh rechargeable battery, the INKFISH is a fun and distinctive addition to any RC boat collection.

3500KV Brushless Power

The PRO version of the INKFISH is equipped with a 2812 3500KV brushless motor.

Compared with the standard brushed UDI023, the brushless system provides improved performance, efficiency and acceleration.

The motor itself is water cooled to help control operating temperature during high-speed use.

Water-Cooled Marine ESC

The brushless motor is paired with a dedicated water-cooled marine ESC.

The ESC features a waterproof design with integrated cooling and heat dissipation, along with protection functions including:

• Low-voltage protection
• Over-temperature protection
• Locked-motor protection

This provides the electronics with additional protection during demanding operation on the water.

Jet-Pump Propulsion

One of the biggest differences between the INKFISH and a conventional RC boat is its jet-pump propulsion system.

Rather than using an exposed propeller behind the hull, the impeller is enclosed within the jet-pump assembly.

This provides several advantages, including reduced risk of the propeller becoming caught on underwater obstacles and improved suitability for operating in relatively shallow water.

The jet nozzle also provides directional control, giving the INKFISH its realistic personal-watercraft handling characteristics.

Shallow-V ABS Hull

The INKFISH features a strong 362mm shallow-V ABS hull.

The shallow-draft design works particularly well with the enclosed jet-pump system because no conventional propeller or drive shaft extends below the rear of the hull.

UDIRC specifies a 32-degree deadrise angle, providing a good combination of stability and manoeuvrability.

Self-Righting System

Capsizing isn't necessarily the end of your run.

The UDI-023-PRO incorporates a one-button self-righting function. When conditions allow, pressing the designated transmitter function allows the watercraft to return itself to the upright position.

This is a particularly useful feature when operating away from the shoreline.

Built-In Gyro Stability

The PRO version features a 4-channel receiver with a built-in gyroscope.

The gyro helps improve directional stability by providing automatic steering corrections when required, making the INKFISH easier to control during acceleration and high-speed operation.

Controllable Navigation Lights

Functional navigation lighting adds to the realistic appearance of the INKFISH.

The lighting can be controlled from the transmitter, making the model particularly impressive when running in lower-light conditions.

One-Click Acceleration

The transmitter incorporates a one-click acceleration function, providing quick access to increased performance.

The UDI-023-PRO includes a 7.4V 2000mAh rechargeable lithium battery.

UDIRC specifies approximately 10 minutes of running time for the PRO version, depending on throttle use and operating conditions.

A USB 2-cell balancing charger is also included.

2.4GHz Radio System

The supplied UA37 2.4GHz radio system provides proportional control and an advertised operating range of approximately 100 metres under suitable conditions.

The transmitter requires 4 × AAA batteries, which are not included.
