Joysway Mad Shark V2 JW-8205 Brushless Mini F1 RC Speed Boat

The Joysway Mad Shark V2 JW-8205 is a compact, high-performance brushless F1-style RC speed boat capable of speeds exceeding 45km/h.

Designed around an aggressive Formula 1 tunnel-hull layout, the Mad Shark combines a powerful water-cooled outrunner brushless motor, 30A water-cooled brushless ESC and efficient flex-cable drive system to deliver exciting acceleration and high-speed performance.

At just 443mm overall length, the Mad Shark packs serious brushless performance into a compact and easy-to-transport package.

Over 45km/h Performance

Don't let its compact dimensions fool you – the Mad Shark V2 is capable of over 45km/h when used with the recommended 3S LiPo power system.

The lightweight hull, brushless motor and efficient drivetrain combine to provide rapid acceleration and impressive straight-line speed.

Water-Cooled Brushless Motor

Power comes from a high-performance outrunner brushless motor.

The brushless system provides excellent efficiency, strong acceleration and reduced maintenance compared with a conventional brushed motor.

A dedicated water-cooling system helps remove heat from the motor during operation, allowing it to maintain performance during high-speed running.

30A Water-Cooled Brushless ESC

The Mad Shark V2 features a 30A brushless electronic speed controller with BEC.

Like the motor, the ESC uses water cooling to help control operating temperatures.

The ESC also incorporates a low-voltage cut-off system to help protect the LiPo battery from excessive discharge.

3S LiPo Power

The Mad Shark V2 is designed around an 11.1V 3S LiPo battery.

Joysway recommends:

11.1V 1300mAh 35C 3S LiPo

This provides the voltage and discharge capability required to achieve the boat's impressive performance.

F1 Tunnel Hull Design

The Mad Shark features a distinctive Formula 1 tunnel-hull design.

Rather than using a conventional Deep-V hull, the F1-style configuration is designed to provide excellent high-speed performance and responsive handling.

The injection-moulded hull is supplied fully finished with colourful graphics and decals already applied.

Flex-Cable Drive System

Power is transferred from the brushless motor through a 2.3mm flex-cable drive system.

Flex-cable drive systems are commonly used in high-performance RC boats because they provide efficient power transfer while accommodating the drivetrain geometry required by the hull.

Waterproof Steering Servo

A 9g waterproof rudder servo provides precise directional control.

Combined with the external rudder and proportional radio system, the steering system provides responsive handling at both low and high speeds.

2.4GHz Digital Proportional Radio

The Mad Shark includes a 2-channel 2.4GHz digital proportional radio system.

Proportional control provides precise adjustment of both throttle and steering rather than simple full-on/full-off operation.

This makes it much easier to control the boat when manoeuvring at lower speeds and provides the precision required when running at over 45km/h.

Twin Propellers Included

Joysway supplies two P1.4 × 35mm two-blade nylon propellers with the Mad Shark V2.

Having a spare propeller included is particularly useful for a high-performance RC boat where the propeller can occasionally be damaged by underwater debris.
