The ARRMA TYPHON 6S BLX V5 is a high-performance 1/8 scale 4WD brushless buggy designed for extreme off-road driving, high-speed runs, big jumps and serious RC bashing.

The ARA8606V5 combines the aggressive styling and aerodynamic profile of a competition-inspired buggy with the proven durability of ARRMA's 6S platform. It features a powerful Spektrum FIRMA 4074 2050Kv brushless motor, Spektrum FIRMA 150A Smart ESC, heavy-duty 4WD drivetrain and a strong 3 mm 6061-T6 aluminium chassis.

With suitable gearing and a 6S LiPo battery, the TYPHON is capable of 70+ mph / 112+ km/h under optimum conditions.

Spektrum 6S Brushless Power

The TYPHON V5 is equipped with a Spektrum FIRMA 4074 2050Kv 4-pole brushless motor paired with a Spektrum FIRMA 150A Smart ESC.

The powerful brushless system is designed for 4S and 6S LiPo operation, giving drivers the flexibility to run the buggy at a more manageable power level on 4S or experience its full performance on 6S.

The Smart ESC provides telemetry compatibility with suitable Spektrum Smart equipment and includes programmable settings for throttle punch, braking, motor timing and other performance parameters.

70+ MPH High-Speed Performance

The TYPHON 6S BLX V5 is built for speed.

With the appropriate high-speed gearing and a suitable 6S LiPo battery, the buggy can achieve 70+ mph / 112+ km/h in optimum conditions.

Its low-profile buggy body, aerodynamic rear wing, wide stance and independent suspension help provide stability during high-speed runs.

Heavy-Duty 4WD Drivetrain

The TYPHON uses a robust 4WD drivetrain designed to handle the high torque produced by the 6S brushless system.

It features three oil-filled metal gear differentials, durable steel driveshafts, all-metal differential outdrives and strong gearbox internals.

The drivetrain uses a 1.0 MOD gear pitch for increased strength and durability.

The vehicle also features an easy-access sliding motor mount, allowing quick motor removal and convenient gear mesh adjustment.

Strong Aluminium Chassis

The TYPHON V5 is built around a 3 mm 6061-T6 aluminium chassis.

The chassis provides a strong and rigid platform for high-speed driving, jumps and hard landings.

The V5 also includes an EXB-compatible front brace, stronger front and rear composite chassis braces and strong composite side pods to provide additional protection and durability.

Updated Suspension & Shocks

The TYPHON features fully independent suspension with aluminium-body oil-filled adjustable shocks.

The shocks provide controlled damping over rough terrain and help the buggy absorb jumps and hard landings.

The black-anodised aluminium front and rear shock towers provide a strong mounting platform and allow suspension setup adjustments.

dBoots KATAR B Tyres

The TYPHON V5 is fitted with dBoots KATAR B multi-surface tyres.

The aggressive tread pattern provides traction across dirt, gravel, grass and other suitable off-road surfaces.

The tyres are mounted on durable buggy wheels using 17 mm wheel hexes.

Spektrum SLT3 Radio System

The TYPHON V5 includes a Spektrum SLT3 3-channel 2.4GHz transmitter and Spektrum SR315 3-channel dual-protocol receiver.

The SLT3 transmitter includes adjustable throttle limiting, allowing drivers to select 50%, 75% or 100% throttle.

This makes the TYPHON easier to control for newer drivers before progressing to full 6S power.

The SR315 receiver supports both SLT and DSMR protocols and is compatible with Spektrum Smart telemetry when used in DSMR mode with suitable equipment.

Spektrum S652 Steering Servo

The TYPHON V5 is equipped with a Spektrum S652 digital metal-geared steering servo.

The S652 features an all-steel gear train and provides approximately 19.08 kg-cm / 265 oz-in of torque at 7.4V.

ARRMA's V5 setup provides increased steering performance and durability compared with the previous ADS-15M servo.

High-Speed Low-Downforce Wing

The TYPHON features a large rear wing designed to provide aerodynamic stability without creating excessive downforce at high speed.

Batteries should use compatible IC5 or EC5 connectors.

For the maximum 6S performance, use a suitable high-discharge 6S LiPo battery. ARRMA specifies a 6S soft-pack battery for the single 6S configuration.

A compatible LiPo charger and LiPo charging bag are also required.
