ARRMA 1/8 TYPHON 6S TLR Tuned 4WD RTR Brushless Buggy – Red/Blue

The ARRMA TYPHON 6S TLR Tuned is a high-performance 1/8 scale 4WD brushless buggy designed to deliver serious racing capability while retaining the rugged durability and Ready-to-Run convenience of the ARRMA 6S platform.

The ARA8406 combines powerful Spektrum brushless electronics with a range of factory-installed TLR Tuned aluminium and suspension upgrades, making it an excellent choice for drivers looking for a buggy that is ready for both competitive track driving and aggressive off-road bashing.

Finished in an exclusive Red/Blue Race Spec colour scheme, the TYPHON features a 3 mm 7075-T6 aluminium chassis, adjustable suspension geometry, TLR Tuned shocks, aluminium steering and motor mounts, a high rear wing mount and race-compound dBoots EXABYTE tyres.

Spektrum 6S Brushless Power

The TYPHON is powered by a Spektrum FIRMA 4074 2050Kv 4-pole brushless motor matched with a Spektrum FIRMA 150A Smart waterproof ESC.

The system supports both 4S and 6S LiPo batteries, allowing the vehicle to be configured for different driving environments.

On 4S power, the TYPHON is well suited to racing and controlled track driving. Switching to 6S provides significantly more power for high-speed bashing, jumps and aggressive off-road driving.

The ESC uses an IC5 connector and provides Spektrum Smart functionality when paired with compatible Smart equipment.

TLR Tuned Aluminium Components

A major feature of the TYPHON TLR Tuned edition is its extensive use of upgraded aluminium components.

The chassis is manufactured from 3 mm 7075-T6 aluminium and features laser-etched TLR branding.

Tuned TLR Suspension

The TYPHON features specially tuned TLR shocks with black-anodised aluminium bodies and machined tapered shock pistons.

The shocks use machined shock guides and X-ring seals for smooth operation and improved sealing.

The shocks are mounted to the upgraded aluminium shock towers using heavy-duty EXB shock standoffs.

Adjustable suspension hangers allow the driver to fine-tune suspension geometry and handling characteristics for different track conditions.

Heavy-Duty 4WD Drivetrain

The TYPHON uses a 4WD drivetrain with three oil-filled gear differentials.

The drivetrain incorporates heavy-duty steel gears, steel driveshafts, steel wheel axles and a steel spur and pinion gear for increased durability.

The 1.0 MOD gear pitch is designed to handle the high torque generated by the 2050Kv brushless motor and 6S LiPo power system.

The factory setup uses a 16T pinion and 50T spur gear, providing a balance between acceleration and top speed.

Race-Ready dBoots EXABYTE Tyres

The TYPHON TLR Tuned is fitted with dBoots EXABYTE race-compound tyres.

The tyres are designed to provide strong grip and predictable handling on suitable off-road and racing surfaces.

The vehicle uses 17 mm aluminium wheel hexes, providing compatibility with a wide range of aftermarket 1/8 scale wheels and tyres.

Race-Spec Rear Wing

Spektrum Radio System

The included Spektrum SLT3 3-channel 2.4GHz transmitter provides reliable control and adjustable throttle limiting.

The transmitter includes 50% and 75% throttle settings, allowing drivers to reduce the available power when learning the vehicle.

The included Spektrum SR315 dual-protocol receiver supports both SLT and DSMR protocols and is compatible with Spektrum Smart technology.

High-Torque Waterproof Steering Servo

The TYPHON includes a Spektrum S652 waterproof metal-geared digital steering servo.

The servo provides approximately 265 oz-in / 19.1 kg-cm of torque at 7.4V, giving the large 1/8 scale buggy the steering authority required for high-speed driving and racing.

Battery & Charger Required

The TYPHON 6S TLR Tuned is supplied as a Ready-to-Run vehicle, but battery and charger are sold separately.

The vehicle is compatible with:
