USS Constitution - 250 Years U.S. Navy: A Monument to Model Building

There are model kits. And then there are legends. The 1:96 scale USS Constitution undoubtedly belongs to the second category. On the occasion of the huge milestone "250 Years of the U.S. Navy" and "Sail 2025", Revell is bringing back this maritime masterpiece as a reissue. With a length of over 90 cm and more than 1,300 components, this model of the "Old Ironsides" is not just a replica, but rather a homage to the oldest warship in the world still in service. This kit demands respect, patience and skill - and rewards you with a museum piece that will last for generations.

History:

The USS Constitution was launched in 1797 and is now the oldest seaworthy warship in the world. It owes its nickname "Old Ironsides" to the War of 1812, when British cannonballs supposedly bounced off its solid oak planks as if they were made of iron. She is more than a ship; she is a floating symbol of the strength and tradition of the US Navy. Today she is still in Boston and is looked after by an active Navy crew.

Features:

• Scale of superlatives: In 1/96 the ship reveals its true splendor. Every deck, cannon and mast is shown at a size that allows for extremely high levels of detail.
• Challenge Level 5: With 1307 individual parts, this set is a marathon for experienced model builders. The complex rigging in particular is a project in itself.
• Anniversary edition: This set celebrates Constitution's role as a symbol of America's naval history, just in time for the celebration of 250 years of the US Navy.
• Fascinating structures: The hull and deck have the finest wood grains. The structured surface of the sails gives the model dynamism.
• Imposing dimensions: With a length of 918 mm and a width (across the frames) of 680 mm, this ship dominates any room.
