The ARRMA KRATON 8S EXB is a massive 1/5 scale 4WD brushless speed truck engineered for extreme off-road bashing, high-speed runs, big jumps and demanding terrain. Built on ARRMA's proven 8S platform, this RTR model combines a powerful Spektrum brushless system with upgraded EXtreme Bash components and a heavy-duty drivetrain designed to handle the punishment of high-power driving.

The KRATON 8S EXB features a 5 mm CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium chassis, reinforced drivetrain components, heavy-duty suspension hardware and large dBoots COPPERHEAD 2 BIG BLOCK tyres. With its long 491 mm wheelbase and substantial 1/5 scale dimensions, the KRATON provides excellent stability and control at high speed while maintaining the durability required for serious bashing.

8S Spektrum Brushless Power

The KRATON 8S EXB is powered by a Spektrum FIRMA 5687 1100Kv 4-pole brushless motor combined with a Spektrum FIRMA 160A V2 Smart ESC.

The power system supports both 6S and 8S LiPo batteries, with 8S providing the truck's maximum performance. The Smart ESC provides telemetry capability when used with compatible Spektrum Smart equipment and features an IC5 connector.

The system provides strong acceleration and high-speed performance while the 4WD drivetrain helps put the available power to the ground.

EXB Heavy-Duty Construction

The EXB specification adds upgraded components throughout the vehicle for increased strength and durability.

The chassis is manufactured from 5 mm 7075-T6 aluminium, providing a strong and rigid foundation for the large-scale drivetrain and suspension system.

The KRATON also features heavy-duty drivetrain components, reinforced suspension hardware, aluminium components and oil-filled coil-over shocks designed for aggressive off-road use.

4WD Speed Truck Design

The KRATON is designed as a high-performance speed truck with a long-wheelbase chassis and wide stance that provide excellent stability at speed.

The 4WD drivetrain delivers traction across loose dirt, grass, gravel and other off-road surfaces, while the large dBoots COPPERHEAD 2 BIG BLOCK tyres provide grip and ground clearance.

The vehicle uses three gear differentials and a heavy-duty 1.0 MOD drivetrain designed to handle the torque produced by the 8S brushless power system.

Spektrum AVC Stability Control

The included Spektrum DX3 3-channel DSMR transmitter and SR6200A DSMR receiver provide Spektrum AVC technology.

AVC, or Active Vehicle Control, helps stabilise the truck and improve traction on loose or slippery surfaces. The level of AVC assistance can be adjusted to suit the driver's preference and driving conditions.

Large 1/5 Scale Platform

The KRATON 8S EXB measures approximately 771 mm long and 602 mm wide, making it a substantial RC vehicle. Its 491 mm wheelbase and approximately 65 mm ground clearance provide a stable platform for high-speed driving and rough terrain.

The large-scale chassis, suspension and drivetrain components are designed specifically for the demands of 8S-powered RC bashing.

Battery & Charger Required

The KRATON 8S EXB is supplied as a Ready-to-Run vehicle but batteries and charger are not included.

For operation you will require:

• 2 × 3S LiPo batteries for 6S operation, or
• 2 × 4S LiPo batteries for 8S operation
• Compatible LiPo charger
• Suitable LiPo charging bag
• 4 × AA batteries for the transmitter

Use batteries with compatible EC5 or IC5 connectors and specifications suitable for the high-current demands of the 8S power system.
