Italeri Cromwell Mk. IV 1/56 Scale Model Kit with Glue & Paint Markers – 75004

The Italeri Cromwell Mk. IV is a 1/56 scale plastic model kit of one of the British Army's best-known cruiser tanks of the Second World War. Designed as an accessible introduction to scale modelling, this set includes the plastic model kit, glue and three acrylic brush markers, giving beginners the essentials needed to build and paint their first military model.

With a finished length of approximately 118mm, straightforward Skill Level 1 construction and decals for two different vehicles, the Cromwell Mk. IV is a great choice for younger or newer modellers while still producing an attractive WWII armour model.

The Cromwell Mk. IV

The Cromwell was developed for the British Army during World War II as a replacement for earlier cruiser tanks such as the Crusader. It combined good armour and armament with one of its most notable characteristics – excellent speed and manoeuvrability.

The Cromwell was capable of speeds exceeding 60km/h, although operational speeds were often restricted to reduce wear on the suspension and drivetrain. Its combination of mobility and firepower made it well suited to the fast-moving armoured operations that characterised the later stages of the war.

75mm Main Gun

The Cromwell Mk. IV was equipped with a 75mm main gun, giving it useful capability against enemy armour while also allowing it to provide effective support to infantry.

An important advantage of the 75mm weapon was its ability to use ammunition compatible with other Allied tanks such as the American Sherman, simplifying ammunition supply in the field.

Ideal First Model Kit

Italeri specifically positions its 1/56 range as an easy way to get started with plastic model building.

The 75004 set includes glue and three acrylic brush markers, reducing the number of additional supplies required before starting the model. Its Skill Level 1 rating also makes it particularly suitable for beginners or anyone looking for a simpler, enjoyable armour build.

Two Marking Options

The kit includes decals for two different WWII vehicles, with marking options representing:

• United Kingdom
• Poland

This gives the modeller a choice of finish while also reflecting the Cromwell's use by Allied forces during the Second World War.
