N700s is a new tokaido/sanyo shinkansen train developed based on the conventional n700 series. A confirmation test vehicle of the same type was released in march 2018, and various tests were conducted. Mass-produced vehicles of the same type were manufactured based on the confirmation test vehicle, and operations began in july 2020, mainly on the nozomi. For mass-produced cars, the front car's bogie cover and antenna shape have been changed.
