Types 72 and 73 in the hiroshima area were introduced when the kure line was electrified, and toilets were added to all saha 78s and some kuha 79s. Later, the kumoha 73 and kuha 79 types were moved to the kabe line, and during rush hours they were used as four-car trains with two two-car formations connected, but they were retired in 1984.
