Team Associated RC10 Factory Team Blue Edition Kit – 1/10 2WD Off-Road Buggy – ASS6058

The Team Associated RC10 Factory Team Blue Edition takes one of the most iconic R/C racing buggies ever created and gives it a serious collection of modern Factory Team upgrades. Developed by Team Associated's AREA 51 engineers, this special RC10 has been configured around the way Factory Team racers prepare their vintage cars for today's tracks.

Rather than simply reproducing an original RC10, the Factory Team Blue Edition combines the unmistakable aluminium-tub RC10 platform with modern big-bore suspension, carbon-fibre components, 12mm hex wheels, an updated slipper system and contemporary drivetrain components.

The result is an RC10 that retains the character and appearance enthusiasts love while providing considerably more capability for modern vintage racing.

Exclusive Blue Anodised Chassis

One of the most striking features of ASS6058 is its exclusive blue anodised aluminium chassis.

The classic RC10 monocoque tub chassis is complemented by a matching blue anodised nose plate and motor plate, creating a distinctive Factory Team appearance.

All-black moulded components contrast against the blue aluminium, giving this edition a completely different look from the traditional gold-anodised RC10.

Factory Team Carbon-Fibre Shock Towers

ASS6058 receives newly designed Factory Team carbon-fibre front and rear shock towers, developed specifically to work with modern big-bore shock packages.

The revised rear shock tower lowers the shock mounting position by approximately 3.5mm, providing improved clearance and a larger tuning window when using big-bore dampers.

The rear tower also incorporates mounting provisions for the modern B6 rear wing mount, which is included with the kit.

Modern 12mm Hex Wheel System

A major improvement for anyone intending to race the RC10 is the conversion to a modern 12mm hex wheel system.

Factory Team 12mm hex front steering blocks and axles are fitted up front, while Factory Team 12mm hex rear CVA driveshafts handle power delivery at the rear.

The kit includes modern B7 12mm hex wheels, making it considerably easier to use contemporary racing tyres and wheel combinations than with the original vintage wheel mounting arrangement.

Updated Drivetrain

The drivetrain receives Team Associated's V2 slipper system, giving racers improved control over power delivery to the rear wheels.

This is particularly useful when using today's much more powerful brushless motors and LiPo battery systems, allowing the drivetrain to be tuned to suit different surfaces and levels of traction.

A full set of ball bearings is included as standard, helping reduce drivetrain resistance and providing smooth, efficient operation.

Modern Steering & Suspension

The Factory Team Blue Edition retains the classic independent suspension layout and long front suspension arms associated with later competition RC10 development, but combines them with modern components.

Team Associated's proven World's Car bellcrank steering system provides precise steering response, while a modern B7-style servo mount makes installation of current steering servos straightforward.

Captured hinge pins provide a more secure modern suspension arrangement, while the extensive adjustment expected from an RC10 allows camber, toe, ride height, shock position and other settings to be tuned to suit different tracks.

New Mirage Pro Vintage Body

Completing the Factory Team treatment is an all-new Mirage Pro vintage-style polycarbonate body.

The body retains the unmistakable low-profile appearance associated with classic competition R/C buggies while giving the Blue Edition its own identity.

A clear RC10 B7 rear wing is also supplied, together with a new Factory Team vintage-style decal sheet.

Hook-and-loop body mounting material is fitted along both sides of the chassis, providing a clean body retention system without relying on traditional body clips.

Built for Modern Vintage Racing

With more than four decades of RC10 development behind it, the Factory Team Blue Edition represents an interesting combination of classic and modern Team Associated engineering.

It maintains the aluminium-tub, rear-motor, 2WD configuration that made the RC10 famous, while introducing many of the components racers now expect from a modern competition buggy.
