Tamiya 1/700 Japanese Aircraft Carrier Zuikaku Waterline Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya 1/700 Japanese Aircraft Carrier Zuikaku is a plastic assembly model kit of the second ship of the Shokaku-class, completed in September 1941. Part of Tamiya's Water Line Series, this kit depicts Zuikaku as she appeared during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, complete with her additional anti-aircraft armament and late-WWII aircraft.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

With her combination of speed, powerful anti-aircraft armament and large aircraft complement, Zuikaku was the ideal aircraft carrier for the Japanese Navy. While Tamiya's Shokaku model depicts that ship in early-WWII form, this Zuikaku model represents her in her later configuration, as seen at the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
