First released in 1984, the Tamiya Grasshopper became one of the most recognisable RC buggies ever produced. Its simple construction, tough chassis and predictable handling made it an ideal introduction to building and driving hobby-grade radio-controlled cars.

This re-released 1/10 scale assembly kit retains the character of the original Grasshopper while providing an enjoyable building experience for new enthusiasts and nostalgic Tamiya collectors.

The lightweight resin bathtub chassis combines an independent swing-axle front suspension with a rolling rigid rear axle. A sealed rear gearbox protects the differential gears from dirt and stones, while the included 380-size brushed motor delivers manageable performance and excellent running time.

Ribbed front tyres provide accurate steering, while large paddle-pattern rear tyres generate traction across dirt and loose surfaces. A durable hard-plastic body and driver figure complete the classic 1980s buggy appearance.
