Tamiya 1/24 Porsche 911 GT3 Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya 1/24 Porsche 911 GT3 recreates the original 996-generation GT3, the circuit-focused special that launched a legendary Porsche performance sub-brand.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

There are few more-loved names in the sports car world than the Porsche 911. 1997 saw the announcement of the fifth-generation 996 model, with a special GT3-spec car featuring a boomerang-esque rear wing and a host of aero parts, the car lowered by 30mm. Its 3.6-litre flat-six engine, mounted in the rear and fitted with titanium conrods and a dry sump with a separated oil reservoir, was endowed with numerous examples of racing technology this 360hp unit could reach an astonishing 302km/h via its six-speed transmission. Dampers, springs and stabilisers in the front strut and rear multi-link suspension were reinforced, while the cockpit was given a pair of bucket seats with the rear seat removed. The GT3 was originally sold in limited numbers, but from 2003 appeared in the regular catalogue, highlighting its immense popularity.
