The Tamiya Grand Hauler is a highly detailed 1/14 scale RC tractor truck assembly kit inspired by extensively customised North American show trucks. Its stretched chassis, boxy sleeper cab and abundance of chrome-plated accessories give it an unmistakable custom big-rig appearance.

The Grand Hauler is constructed around a strong aluminium ladder-frame chassis with resin crossmembers. A front-mounted 540 brushed motor drives both rear axles through a realistic three-speed transmission, with gear changes operated remotely using a separately available servo and suitable multi-channel radio.

Realistic solid-axle suspension uses metal leaf springs and aluminium friction dampers. Both rear axles incorporate functional differentials for smooth cornering, while ten rubber radial tyres complete the authentic 6×4 tractor-truck configuration.

Custom details include a large chrome-plated front bumper, radiator grille, sun visor, roof-mounted horns, adjustable mirrors, oversized air cleaners, tall exhaust stacks, rear mudguards and a low-mounted rear bumper. Numerous light housings can accept LEDs when the optional Tamiya Multi-Function Control Unit is installed.
