Bandai MG 1/100 RX-78GP03S Gundam Stamen

Build the specialised mobile suit at the heart of the massive Gundam Development Project with the Bandai Master Grade 1/100 RX-78GP03S Gundam Stamen. Featured in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, the Stamen serves as the mobile-suit control unit of the RX-78GP03 Dendrobium weapon system and is piloted by Kou Uraki.

This Master Grade kit combines a detailed internal structure with removable exterior armour, articulated joints and a selection of distinctive weapons. The forearms incorporate the GP03S’s folding-arm mechanisms, which open to reveal extendable claw arms designed to retrieve equipment while the mobile suit is connected to the Dendrobium Orchis.

A transforming Core Fighter is also included and can be combined with the Gundam. Builders can display the model with the Core Fighter system or assemble the alternative backpack configuration. Movable rear thrusters, opening hatches and concealed beam-sabre storage add further mechanical detail and display possibilities.

The model is moulded in multiple colours and uses Bandai’s snap-fit construction system, allowing it to be assembled without glue. Painting is optional, while the included marking stickers and dry-transfer decals can be applied to enhance the finished appearance.

Detailed Master Grade Construction

The Master Grade format provides a larger and more mechanically detailed interpretation of the GP03S Stamen than smaller-scale kits. Exterior armour attaches over a detailed internal structure, with selected panels removable to reveal mechanical and hydraulic-style components beneath.

Articulated shoulders, arms, legs, waist and head provide a useful range of movement for standing and combat poses. The rear thruster assemblies can also be adjusted to change the model’s silhouette.

Folding-Arm System

One of the GP03S Stamen’s defining features is its pair of folding arms. Housed inside the forearms, these mechanisms can be unfolded and extended to reveal claw-like manipulators.

In the series, the folding arms allow the Stamen to retrieve weapons from the Dendrobium Orchis weapon containers. On the completed model, they provide an additional mechanical display feature and help distinguish the GP03S from other Gundam Development Project mobile suits.

Core Fighter and Backpack Options

The included Core Fighter features folding wings and a transformation mechanism that allows it to combine with the Gundam body. The kit can also be assembled using the Stamen’s alternative backpack arrangement, giving builders a choice of configurations.

The cockpit area and Core Fighter system include additional mechanical detail appropriate to the Master Grade range.

The GP03S includes its characteristic mobile-suit armament:
