GAZ-2330 is a Russian, multi-purpose, lightly armored off-road vehicle of modern times. The first prototypes of the vehicle appeared in 2001, and its production started in 2004 or 2005 and is still ongoing. The vehicle entered the line in 2006. In the basic version, the length of the vehicle is 560 cm, with a width of 220 cm and a height of 230 centimeters. The curb weight, depending on the version, ranges from 6600 to 7200 kilograms. The vehicle's payload is 1200 kilograms. The most commonly used power units are the Cummins B180TD engine with a capacity of 5.9 liters and a power of 180 hp or the GAZ-562 with a capacity of 3.2 liters and a power of 215 hp.

The roots of the presented vehicle date back to the 1990s, when GAZ plants entered into cooperation with  Bin Jabr Group Ltd from the UAE in order to create a light armoured vehicle, also designed for off-road driving. In order to shorten the research and development work, components from the BTR-80 and GAZ-39371 Wodnik vehicles were used in the new vehicle. However, at the beginning of the 21st century, cooperation between the two entities was terminated. Despite this, GAZ plants continued to develop the design independently, and relatively quickly the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed interest in the new vehicle, and shortly afterwards - the armed forces of the Russian Federation. It is assumed that in 2017, various uniformed services in Russia had approx. 800-900 vehicles of this type. It is worth adding that various versions of this vehicle have been or are being exported to, among others: Armenia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
