The Audi R8 Coup © was introduced in 2006. As the first Audi mid-engine supercar, it has been hailed as the most important Audi œbrand shaper  in the ICE era. Three years later the first race car of the Audi R8 was introduced, the Audi R8 LMS. In 2021, Audi launched the R8 LMS GT3 EVO II in response to new challenges on the race track. Compared to its predecessor, the EVO II features a new swan-neck rear wing to generate greater downforce, providing more stability while driving. A new air intake system was developed for the engine, allowing the engine to achieve better torque output. Additionally, it is equipped with a more comfortable air conditioning system. All these improvements have made the EVO II more favored by teams and drivers, enabling Audi to continue its championship-winning capabilities in various GT3 events.

Founded in 2010, the formidable Absolute Racing team from Asia is set to impress this year with multiple Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II race cars Or 'models' on the race track. Esteemed across Asia, this top-tier team has been a standout in Asian GT races since its inception, often competing at the Macau Guia Circuit and securing the Macau Grand Prix GT Cup championship three times. This season, several drivers will be behind the wheel of Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II race cars, sporting livery in collaboration with MENG, showcasing speed and passion on the track.
