Released in 2007, the 3^rd generation R35 GT-R sold for 15 years, making it a uniquely long-selling model for a Japanese car. With continual improvements during its production lifetime, it matured with each year.

In March 2023, Nissan announced the 2024 model would be the fully evolved form of the R35 GT-R. Specifically, this encapsulated total vehicle balance with newly designed aero parts delivering improved aerodynamic performance. A new muffler structure reduced noise and vibration, but still produced that comforting powerful exhaust note.

In the GT-R s proud history, NISMO cars are positioned at the top of high-performance models being infused as far as possible with racing technology. Cornering performance was improved with the addition of mechanical LSD on the front and optimized 4WD control while a newly shaped rear wing and mounting position elevated aerodynamics. In addition, exclusive Recaro carbon backed bucket seats with updated specifications provided increased rigidity and occupant grip.

To complete the pinnacle of GT-R development, the NISMO Special Edition incorporated high-precision weight-balanced engine parts such as special carbon engine hood.
