Description

The Kaman SH-2 Seasprite is an American multi-role naval helicopter of the Cold War and modern eras. The prototype first flew in 1959, and the aircraft entered service in 1962. The helicopter in its SH-2F version is 11.68 meters long (with the main rotor blades folded) and has a main rotor diameter of 13.41 meters. It is powered by two General Electric T58-GE-8F engines, each producing 1,350 hp. The helicopter has a conventional layout with a single main rotor and a propeller on a tail boom.
