The fmtv (family of medium tactical vehicles) series, developed as successors to the m35 2. 5t truck and m939 5t truck, is a military vehicle family with a payload capacity of 2. 5t and 5t.

the fmtv series includes both 4 x 4 drive 2. 5t truck models and 6 x 6 drive 5t truck models, all developed from a common chassis. Various derivatives of the base cargo truck type have been developed, such as dump trucks, shop vans, and tractor models.

the 4 x 4 drive 2. 5t truck variant is called lmtv (light medium tactical vehicles), and the m1280 is a versatile vehicle based on the jltv-gp, capable of carrying up to four crew members.
