The FMTV (Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles) series, developed as successors to the M35 2.5t truck and M939 5t truck, is a military vehicle family with a payload capacity of 2.5t and 5t.

The FMTV series includes both 4 x 4 drive 2.5t truck models and 6 x 6 drive 5t truck models, all developed from a common chassis. Various derivatives of the base cargo truck type have been developed, such as dump trucks, shop vans, and tractor models.

The 4 x 4 drive 2.5t truck variant is called LMTV (Light Medium Tactical Vehicles), and the M1280 is a versatile vehicle based on the JLTV-GP, capable of carrying up to four crew members.

The Light Tactical Trailer (LTT) is a 1-axle, 2-wheel trailer.
