Powered by the Hobao Hyper .30 pull-start nitro engine, the Hyper SS delivers strong low-end torque and impressive acceleration while remaining easy to start without the need for a starter box. A polished tuned exhaust pipe complements the engine, while the large 150cc fuel tank provides extended run times between refuelling. The dual-stage foam air filter helps protect the engine during dusty off-road conditions, making it well suited to demanding recreational driving.

The full-time 4WD drivetrain features three sealed oil-filled differentials that distribute power efficiently between the front, centre and rear of the vehicle. Combined with a durable steel spur gear, lightweight centre driveshaft and full ball bearing drivetrain, the Hyper SS is designed to provide reliable power delivery and excellent traction across a variety of surfaces.

Suspension is handled by the latest generation 17mm threaded big bore oil-filled shock absorbers with heavy-duty 4mm shock shafts. A compact sealed radio tray protects the receiver and onboard electronics from dirt and debris, while the removable moulded radio tray simplifies maintenance when servicing the vehicle. Side guards and rear mud deflectors help keep the chassis cleaner during off-road driving, and the wrap-around front bumper offers additional protection from impacts.
