Building on the success of the COBRA 10 and COBRA 8, we are excited to announce the release of the all-new COBRA 6, engineered for 1/7th and 1/6th scale high-performance RC applications! The COBRA 6 is available to purchase as an ESC-only option or packaged with three Castle 4-POLE 12-SLOT motor options to overpower a wide range of 1/7th and 1/6th scale vehicles.

Note: The Cobra 6 is not designed for drag racing or high speed applications. It has built-in safety features that protects against aggressive setups and may limit power. The Ghost RC Cobra 8 ACE and Cobra 5 ACE are the recommended drag and speed run ESCs.

Product Use Statements:

Recommended battery capacity for 1:6th scale vehicles is 5000mah. We recommend using 50C continuous discharge or higher LiPo batteries. Surge ratings should never be used to determine a pack’s suitability for a brushless application. We recommend a high current connector designed for high-powered electric systems, rated for 120+ amps, such as Castle CC Bullet 6.5mm, CC Bullet 8.0mm, or 6.5mm Polarized Castle Connectors. Applying voltages higher than 33.6V will cause irreparable damage to ESC; DO NOT RUN HV CELLS (above 4.2v/cell) WHEN RUNNING AT MAX CELL COUNT (8s). This will exceed the 33.6v rating and will damage the ESC and not be covered by the warranty. Although the Cobra 6 is waterproof, it is not intended for operation while completely submerged in liquid. Always rinse the ESC with clean water after exposure to corrosives or dirt. The cooling fan must be removed prior to driving in wet conditions. It is not waterproof. Note: The Cobra 6 is not designed for use in extremely high-speed applications and drag setups, as such the Castle warranty does NOT cover failure when used in high speed or drag applications.

Tech Notes:

Routine maintenance is recommended after running in wet conditions. Please refer to this document for running and maintaining motors in wet environments. Monitor motor temperatures closely; overheating a motor will cause permanent damage to the magnets. Never exceed 200° F on the the motor or ESC. Do not use mounting screws that extend more than 5mm into the front of the motor. Using too long of a screw can result in damage to the motor's windings and will not be covered by the warranty.
