Building on the success of the COBRA 10 and COBRA 8, we are excited to announce the release of the all-new COBRA 5, engineered for 1/7th and 1/5th scale high-performance RC applications!

New tuning parameters include adjustable braking curves and independent reverse settings to reduce the risk of broken gears, snapped driveshafts, and blown differentials, all while experiencing smoother transitions. Users will feel a more realistic and predictable driving experience while saving their drivetrain from unnecessary stress

Whether tweaking the suspension or altering tire pressure, data-driven decisions lead to optimal performance in an R/C vehicle, and the COBRA SERIES enhanced data logging includes double the maximum sample frequency of older generations, providing more granular data for analyzing performance. Gone are the days of clearing data logs —users will experience increased logging time and enjoy the new looping feature that prevents interruptions in recording. New data points for ESC electrical motor timing and acceleration via the onboard accelerometer provide insight into needed adjustments to detect tire slippage or fine-tune motor efficiency.

Access to tuning options, data logs, and firmware updates for the COBRA SERIES ESCs is available at no charge using the Castle Link V4 USB adapter included in the box and Castle Link 2 software, available for download on the Castle Creations website.

The COBRA 5 is packed with a potent combination of hardware and software advancements, making it an indispensable ally in high-performance power systems. Users will benefit from the same footprint as its predecessor, the Mamba XLX2, while an upgraded current-sensing and thermal protection system actively mitigates the risk of failure in aggressive or high-load setups. The COBRA 5 is available to purchase as an ESC-only option or packaged with three Castle 4-POLE 12-SLOT motor options to overpower a wide range of 1/7th and 1/5th scale vehicles.

Pairing the Cobra 5 with the Castle 4-POLE 12-SLOT SENSORED 2028-1100KV will allow heavy, high-performance rigs like the Traxxas XRT, Traxxas X-Maxx, Arrma Outcast 8s (1/5th), Arrma Kraton 8s (1/5th) or the HPI Baja 5Bto experience controllable low-end ranges without sacrificing power, punch or speed.

Note: The Castle Cobra 5 is NOT intended for drag racing or high speed application. Use of the Castle Cobra 5 in drag racing and speed run applications will void the warranty. The Ghost RC Cobra 5 ACE ESC is intended for such applications; but due to the abusive nature of drag and high speed applications it is sold with no warranty.
