The ARRMA GORGON MEGA 550 is a tough, easy-to-drive and highly upgradeable 1/10 scale 2WD monster truck that's an excellent introduction to hobby-grade RC.

Built with ARRMA's renowned bash-friendly durability, the GORGON combines a rugged composite chassis, oil-filled suspension, huge dBoots Chevron monster truck tyres and a powerful MEGA 550 brushed motor with reliable Spektrum electronics.

The ARA3230ST3 comes completely assembled and Ready-to-Run in the aggressive Gun Metal colour scheme, with the battery, Smart charger and transmitter batteries included.

Ready-to-Run with Battery & Charger

This version of the GORGON includes almost everything needed to start driving.

ARRMA supplies a Spektrum 8.4V 3300mAh 7-cell Smart NiMH battery together with the Spektrum S120 USB-C Smart charger.

The Smart charging system automatically detects compatible battery information and selects the appropriate charging profile, making it particularly straightforward for newer RC users.

MEGA 550 Brushed Power

Power comes from an ARRMA MEGA 550 14-turn brushed motor, delivering strong acceleration and speeds of 20+ mph / 32+ km/h.

The brushed system is an excellent starting point for newer drivers — quick enough to be exciting without immediately giving a beginner more performance than they can comfortably control.

Spektrum 40A ESC & Receiver

The GORGON features a Spektrum waterproof SLT 2-in-1 40A ESC and receiver unit.

The system provides smooth proportional throttle control and is also 2S LiPo compatible, allowing owners to move from the supplied NiMH battery to a compatible 2S LiPo battery for increased performance and longer runtimes.

50% & 75% Throttle Limiting

The included Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz transmitter is ideal for beginners because it allows the maximum throttle to be limited.

New drivers can start at 50% power, progress to 75%, and then move to full power once they're comfortable controlling the truck.

This makes the GORGON particularly well suited to younger or first-time RC drivers while still providing plenty of performance as their skills improve.

Brushless-Ready Transmission

One of the biggest advantages of the GORGON is its upgrade potential.

Although supplied with a brushed motor, ARRMA designed the transmission to be brushless ready. Tough composite and alloy gears, metal internal differential gears, a slipper clutch and heavy-duty composite slider driveshafts provide a strong drivetrain foundation.

That means you can enjoy the GORGON in its standard configuration and upgrade the electronics later if you're looking for significantly more performance.

Tough ARRMA Composite Chassis

The GORGON uses a strong moulded composite chassis engineered for everyday off-road bashing.

Its design provides approximately 50mm of ground clearance, helping the truck tackle dirt, gravel, grass and uneven terrain.

Oil-Filled Suspension

Unlike many entry-level RC vehicles, the GORGON comes equipped with proper oil-filled coil-over shock absorbers.

The independent suspension helps absorb bumps and jumps while keeping the truck under control over rough surfaces.

Ride height can also be adjusted to suit different terrain.

Large dBoots Chevron MT tyres give the GORGON its aggressive monster truck appearance and provide durable traction across a variety of surfaces.

Bottom-Loading Battery Tray

Changing batteries is quick and convenient thanks to the GORGON's bottom-loading battery system.

There's no need to remove the body. Simply access the battery compartment from underneath the chassis, replace the battery and get straight back to driving.

The battery compartment accepts packs up to approximately 140 x 50 x 35mm.

A suitable USB-C power supply is required to power the included S120 charger. ARRMA recommends a QC 2.0/3.0 18W+ USB power adapter for best charging performance.
